The programme and organizational basis of the Szparaga House
On the 22nd of June 2003, the programme and organisational basis of the Szparaga House was established for the first time during the IV SZPARAGA Family Reunion. The Head of the family and the sixteen members for the Family Council were chosen and the programme and organisation basis were accepted.
With dedication for establishing the House to its full extent while seeking to ensure its proper operation, referring to the past with respect and concern for the future, we set up these principles as fundamental guidelines for strengthening our community life and its further development.
The Szparaga House consists of all people bearing the Szparaga name and its derivations such as Sparaga, Szparago, Szparag, Sparag, Sparage, Shparaga, Szparagowski Sparagowski and Sparażyński. All people who do not bear those names but have their roots in the family are also, together with their families, members of the House.
The highest power of the House is the annual reunion of the Family; appointing the Head of the House and the Szparaga Family Assembly. The duties of the Assembly are:
* animating the activity of the House as a community,
* caring on the research of full reconstruction of the House history,
* running the Family records and making sure that the Family tree is up to date ,
* focusing on tightening bonds between members of the House living in the same region, country or abroad through organising local meetings, giving support and neighbourhood help,
* aiming at involving members from United States of America, Russi, Germany, Ukraine, Belarus, Canada and Great Britain in the projects and assignments of our Family,
* supporting the integration of the youth as our successors of the idea of the family community development,
* searching different opportunities of supporting the education of the younger generations as one of the aspects of financial existence of the House members.
The implementation of these tasks should be actively supported by the Council as well as the Family members of the community, either by bringing direct aid or through the manifestation of their own initiative.
The Szparaga Family Tree is, in a sense, a chronicle written as a remembrance for the living ones and for the future generations. This family tree should include branches bearing the family name, and branches, which for obvious reasons have lost them already. The duty of every member of the Family is supporting the creation making a more reliable, constantly updated and extended family tree. Each member of the Family has the right to ask for confidential (with a relevant) data relating to him, while pointing to when it is operational.
Members of the Family, within the community, address each other as is done among the immediate family. For people belonging to the generation of our parents and older are to be adressed as uncle or aunt.
The highest distinction made by the Community to a member of House is the entry presenting his contributions to this date, in the "BOOK OF SZPARAGA FAMILY DEVELOPMENT , functioning according to separate regulations.
Appropriations for Family activities are derived from voluntary contributions from its members. At each reunion, the Family Council through selected representatives, will check the receipts and expenditure, which occurred in the past term. Documentation of income and expenditure account is open and will be presented for inspection for members of House during the reunion.
The financial means on the activity the Family come from members' voluntary fees. The analysis and control over the finances are run during every reunion by the chosen members as it has been on the previous reunions. The whole financial analysis is open for every member of the House during each annual reunion.
This document contains the amendments adopted by the X Szparaga Family Reunion on 5 July 2009.
